Europe Rings For Peace No date set

A sign. Without words.
Everyone understands it. Everyone hears it.
A sound. Ringing for peace.
Bells have been ringing for peace far and wide across the country since time immemorial.
We want to renew the European Peace Ringing and everyone can join in:
with school bells, town hall bells,
storm bells peace bells, ship bells,
carillons, and of course with all church tower bells.
From near and far, all ringing at the same time as a sign of a peaceful community.
Every bell counts.

On Friday, May 9, 2025 – Europe Day – we want to renew the ringing for peace with “Europe Rings For Peace”. Europe Day focuses on the European peace project. Starting from the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025, together with all former and new participants and the partner cities Nova Gorica (Slovenia) and Gorizia (Italy), a sign for peace and understanding will be set.

In Chemnitz, a special focus will be set by integrating the peace ringing into the European Week of the Capital of Culture program on Friday 9 May 2025 at 6 pm.
